Dr Matt Dickinson
I am a Senior Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering at UCLan and a member of the MedTech Solutions group led by Professor Richards. With a PhD in tribology, I have published and presented extensively. My work focuses on developing advanced materials and using machine learning for electromyography (EMG) signal analysis. Partnering with Tinius Olsen, my team utilizes cutting-edge testing equipment. I also chair ASTM subcommittee F48.04 on exoskeleton maintenance and also now sit on the ASTM exoskeleton technology Centre of excellence advisor panel. I explore best practices from successful companies to grow my work. While passionate about innovation, I don't see myself as an influencer; I simply enjoy discovering new solutions.
