Scitech's Toy Tear Down

Welcome to Scitech’s Toy Tear Down! Where toys meet science. We pull apart, hack and experiment with toys to uncover the STEM (science, technology, engineering & maths) that makes them work. From circuits and gears to air pressure and motion, we explore how toys move, light up and make sound.
Great for families, kids and curious minds of all ages, join Science Communicator Alyshia Gatani as we test, tinker and sometimes break things (on purpose!) to reveal the real science of play. Feel free to comment, ask questions and be curious!

Toy Teardown is produced by Scitech, registered charity, & not-for-profit organisation inspiring All Western Australians to engage with STEM.

Scitech respectfully acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first STEM practitioners and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
