Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics

We are the oldest economics research and training institute in India. Currently, we are a (Deemed-to-be) University with eight academic programs, including six master's, one bachelors and a doctoral program. Home to about 1000 students and led by close to 50 faculty members who are leading researchers in their domain, the Gokhale Institute is the place to be for undergraduate and post-graduate studies in economics. The Institute was founded by the Servants of India Society in 1930. The Society was established by Gopal Krishna Gokhale, a towering figure in India's pre-Independence politics, in 1905.
