VAQO was a Tbilisi based one-man band, also the former member of the popular duo in Georgia "Duet The W". He killed himself in 2023. Reason still unknown. investigation showed up several reasons and finally gave up. Before that He quickly made a name for himself, releasing more than ten studio albums between 2020 and 2024. However, due to major commercial failure and financial problems the artist gave up music. VAQO is characterized by a unique sound, based on Georgian folk and psychedelic sounds. He supported the recording of Georgian-language songs and albums in Georgian pop culture. To increase the development and attractiveness of Georgian music. including the Megrelian language. His songs have been played on leading rock radios many times, as a rare authentic Georgian-language rock artist. His albums have been released on Georgian, Japanese, Turkish and Austrian labels. including in different collections. Also he released albums under the name of Vakhtang Kantaria
